Oh, To Be 17 and Going To Your Senior Prom

My baby is doing this tonight:

She and her boyfriend are going to have such a great time. (There was much drama in their little group of girls leading up to this-of course!) She looked-IS! gorgeous!

And tonight, they are going to be happy and carefree, and 17.

Oh, Headless Girl. I pray for your safety tonight, yes, but mostly I pray that you have loads of fun and make millions of memories that will last a lifetime.

I simply had to stop by here and thank you for your visit to my blog. Your name, "headless," just cracked me up and I was so curious, I couldn't stand it. LOL

Prom. Just the word brings back such wonderful memories of my two daughters and their proms. I love it that you said, "they're just going to be 17."

17 is 40 years ago for me, but I'll never ever forget my own prom.

Thank you for stopping by and I really hope you'll always feel free to drop in.

Nevereverevereverevereverever.

I'm building the bunker right now to keep the boys away.

Gah! Prom!

It's not going to work, is it?

I can't find my blog said...

Thanks, Barb!

BpD- Unfortunately it is imevitable. But it's also beautiful and a gift from God to watch them grow into these wonderful young women. And, yes, Erin will carry your heart with her every step of the way.

I remember like it was yesterday US, that is, me and YOU headless mom...heading out to prom in a VAN! You and I sat in back and the boys sat in front, how hillarious is that!? I can't remember where we had dinner (you probably do) and I think my date had a white tux too! I hope they had a blast, you'll have to let us know how it went. Thank GOD we didn't marry those boys we went to prom with...you'd be in a cult and I would be the mother of 8 children! Too funny and I'm so glad our friendship survived those years and we made MUCH better choices in life partners! :)

I was never allowed to go to my proms.

But all four of my kids went - - - and I well remember the lump of pride and "loss" that welled up in my throat when I saw them dressed and ready to go out that door - - - -

I've still got 7 years 'til my first goes, and I'm going to relish every moment between now & then...

Great pics! You'll have to give us the post-prom report, too. :)

I am so pleased to have found your blog (thanks to your comment on mine), because I've lost my head several times and it's so refreshing to see that people have perfectly lovely adventures without them!

Headless Girl looks very glamorous; I hope she had a wonderful time.
