Updates upon Updates

I really want to thank those of you that commented on my whiner post. I am feeling much better now. It is nice to know that there are more people out there that feel this way on occasion, too. Sometimes it just helps to get it out there and off my chest, and the burden seems to lift.

That doesn't mean that there is no more laundry, or ironing, or mopping- those are perpetual!

I also wanted to update y'all on my BlogHer situation. I found a roommate. I have paid for my 2-day pass. I'm going!! I'm really excited about meeting many of you that I've talked to over the last few months, about learning more about blogging, writing, etc. Drop me a comment if you're going, too.

I had a lovely Mother's Day. Headless Dad had to work all day and night Saturday so I took the boys to church on Sunday morning so he could sleep. When HG got home from church she had flowers for me. Then when HD came home from the store he had roses. THEN he went to the grocery store. Now that's speakin' my love language! BIL and SIL came over for dinner and HD grilled filets- yum. HD felt a little bad that there wasn't more , and that he had to work but it was really a nice day, the sun came out for a few hours (hallelujah!), and I got some laundry done. And really? When an overtime check is coming? Who's complaining? (btw-I tried to fix this font thing but can't. ???)

Graduation season is almost upon us. My beautiful daughter will be graduating in less than a month now. She takes her final AP test on Thursday. Senior Ditch Day is around the corner. She will tell you with a smile how many days are left (16 school days). She worked on getting announcements ready tonight.

I can't tell you how proud of her I am. Not for graduating, although it is a big accomplishment.I am most proud of the young woman that she is, and is becoming.

Shut up. I have 16 school days to get used to it.

Sounds like a good Mother's day. :)

I love how your roomie's subjects are all lines from songs. Lines from *good* songs. :)

You've helped HG grow to be a very intelligent woman. Congrats on that. Best Mother's Day present evar.
