Wow. Can't believe it's been a week since I've really written a post. Hello! Where have I been, you ask? Well, let me tell you...

It all started out great. My plan was to take a day or 2 off after NaBloPoMo-to give you and me a break. (you and I? neither sounds right there.) HD had his post-op dr. appt. on Monday-good report, stitches out. Kids had 1/2 days all week for conferences, and no school on Wednesday, so my writing time was limited, anyway.

Tuesday I went to bowling, did OK, and rushed to get birthday treats to the classroom by noon. Afternoons were filled with homework, whining, and more homework. So much for the playing outside-the whining trumps that every time.

On Wednesday, HD thought that he was getting sick-felt like he had a fever, body aches, etc., so ultimately went to bed early, only to wake up early Thursday with a major belly ache. (He has diverticulitis, which has sent him to the hospital in the past.) Well, calling the doctor and getting the prescriptions that he needed was no easy task, so between volunteering at the school and running around for him I was wiped. (Of course staying up for Grey's and ER had NOTHING to do with being tired. You believe me, right?)

Friday brought more of the same, plus getting ready for HB1's birthday party on Saturday, and the Women's dinner/cookie exchange on Saturday evening. I baked about 4 doz. cookies and fell into bed around 11pm.

Up at 7 on Saturday and cooking by 7:30, kids here at 11, gone be 2 and at the church by 4.

So that brings me to today. Church, football, and the best nap I've had in a long time. I feel like a new woman.

And, hopefully, a new blogger, too, because unexplained breaks stress me out! Have a great week everyone. I'll be here. Will you?

Hope your hubby feels better soon. It sucks to be under the weather after the holidays.

Sometimes it's just better to take a bloggy break, planned or no.

You are good. If I were you I would have called the school to let them know I would not be in to volunteer. It's ok to say I just can't do it all today. I hope HD is on the mend and slow down would ya, you're making the rest of us look like lazy asses!
