Pizza Party

A while back we had our headless friends over to celebrate Bill's birthday. Kathy said that she would bring stuff for pizza-I said great, I'll do the rest.

She brought pre-made dough and hand-made pepperoni. All you do is press the premade dough onto a cookie sheet or pizza stone, top with your favorite sauce, cheese, and other toppings (obviously optional) and you're good to go. Bake at 400 or 425 (?) for 20 minutes or until as done as you like it. It was all soooooo good!

The pepperoni was perfect-not too spicy but definitely flavorful.

This was the kid's pizza-Cheese only. For all 3 pizzas we used 2, 6oz packages of mozzarella, hand shredded.

This final pizza was THE BOMB. I could have eaten most of it myself. (Come to think of it I just about did.) The sauce was home-made pesto, straight from Kathy's garden, with chicken breast, chopped artichoke hearts, and mozzarella. I don't even like artichoke hearts and I liked this pizza. Truly amazing food that night! And yes, we did have salad, too, but who wants to see that?

You'll have to come back tomorrow to see what I made for dessert!

Pssst! Have you entered my clutter giveaway for toddler reading books? You still have time!

Yay! I'm first, I'm first!! How fun! Very cool pictures! I haven't had pizza since that night I think! I'm almost out of frozen pesto and I think that pizza picture convinced me to plant more this year!

Tonight I made those crackalicious toffee cracker bars that we had on Super Bowl Sunday. They are easy and soooo good.

Thanks for the shout out - it was a fun dinner and hopefully the internet will enjoy dessert as much as we did!

I love pizza,we use our bread maker (I have 2 one broke, still needs a new paddle) and make the dough here at home. The boys love to pick and choose. I will make 1 in a cookie sheet, mkae one end just cheese and sauce, other end is cheese pepperoni nad sauce and the end is pep, cheese and peppers. Lately though we've had 1 deserter, he just doesn't want pizza anymore. I must come up with more ideas, so they don't starve.

I can't claim the pepperoni! We shop at an Italian market that we've been going to since I was a kid and they hand make it there along with the greatest "Cold Cut Combo" sandwich in the world!

@meandmom...I do hesitate every time I make pesto - it is so fattening! It's a fun gift to give away with homemade gnocchi (I know, I am a cooking geek) And we decided that I just can't make those cracker bars again...picture this...two sleeves of saltines, two sticks of butter, one cup of brown sugar, chocolate chips...it was everything I could do not to lick every utensil clean then eat the whole batch...

Really you know someone who brings you homemade pepperoni and home made pesto?

I kinda hate both of you now.
AND I am hungry.
