American Idol-Top 5

I made it, thanks to my DVR. Yea!

So. Top 5. American Classics/Rat Pack era. Should be good. Lemme have it! (Mmmm, Jamie Fox as the mentor. Awesome!)

Kris- The Way You Look Tonight- Ok, my first yummy performance of the season. This guy is SO good, and has the rat pack appeal. Kris is now my front runner-HD and I think that he will win. The cool thing about Kris is that his song tonight could fit on an album with all the other things that he's done, and it would totally work. Bravo, Kris!

Allison-Someone To Watch Over Me- Happy Birthday, Allison! Only 17...She's amazingly gifted and poised for being that young. I know I say it a lot (we all do!), but it is true. She's giving me chills tonight. Understated vocals, but powerful all the same. Nicely done.

Matt- My Funny Valentine- He seems to be off key in the beginning...and it's continuing. So sorry, Matt, but that wasn't even close to the other two tonight so far. Bottom two, for sure.(Is Simon crazy? I'll be interested what he says after he watches the tape back, because, dude, that was painful.)

Danny- Come Rain Or Come Shine- I loved his vocals, but the performance is pretty boring, and seemed forced at the end. But, like Randy said, the vocals were great and this is a singing competition!

Adam- Feeling Good- (Ok, enough with the theatrics. The staircase, the lighting. I, personallly have had enough.) Adam is fine for Broadway, but it's really too much for American Idol. Seriously. I can't handle it any more; I don't think he's good. Blech. My vote to go home.

Ok, another week down. My faves? Kris, Allison, and Danny, with Kris the #1 of the night. The bottom 2 are Matt and Adam. Obviously, if I had my way, Adam would be gone but I think there are too many Adam fans out there, so I'll have to guess that Matt will go.

I think that I may even buy Kris' song for my ipod because it was really the best. Which one would you buy?

HM - I'm sitting here in a pool of my own tears, drowning with sadness...my heart is melting (Ok, maybe it's me - LOL)...

I can't believe you don't like Adam, and hello! You want to send him home? You're kidding, I know you're kidding and you SECRETLY want him to win. LOL

I can't think otherwise, I just know you wouldn't dis me like that!

*giggle giggle*

Adam is good but a little strange to me, I wouldn't want him to win.
Chris is awesome. I really liked Danny's performance last night. I know that my opinion is only two weeks old so I really shouldn't comment when you have been watching all season!

I agree with you - pretty much across the board. Although I'm week to week on Adam. Sometimes he wows me. Sometimes I feel like I need a shower after the Ick.

That said. Here’s my two (totally worthless) cents on the matter…

I think AI is rigged. Well, maybe not “rigged” exactly, but I definitely think Simon has an agenda. One he pushes - heavily. I mean, he’ll say something negative about a performance (even if it was flawless - even if I think HE THINKS it was flawless) just to try to sway the voters. Take Allison for example. She was pretty darn close to perfection last night. Looked great, sounded amazing. Strong, pure power in her voice. What’s to complain about? Enter Simon, who claims she “doesn’t care about winning”. Ha! I think the man fancies himself a Puppeteer. Ooo ah ah… Pull the strings and watch America dance to my commands.

It really irks me sometimes.

Hmm. Perhaps I’m a tad too emotionally invested in this stinkin’ show. Whoops.

I agree with Steph! Here's the thing...part of being a big star is putting on a great show when you are making a video or going on tour so I think the theatrics are great. Plus I still think it is amazing that he can personalize every.single.song he sings. IDK...Yes I do! Adam ROCKS!

Sorry Headless...we'll agree to disagree and clink our wine glasses
