(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

I often get questions regarding the "heart in hand" logo that I use here on my blog. It is a common folk art symbol that my mother and I have been collecting for years. If you've ever been to my house, you might recognize the following as parts of my decor!

Made by my niece, of my children's hand prints:

Crystal, from my mom:
Carved wooden box from my aunt, this year for my birthday: (with red tissue to show detail)
A lapel pin on a heart pillow, above my desk:
A gift from an old friend, "When this you see, remember me!":
An old key chain:
Gingerbread style:

So my tattoo isn't just for the blog, it really is something that means a lot to me!

I was wondering too. I also think it might be the same design in the book "The Kissing Hand?" I'm not sure it's been 3yrs since I read the book to AJ for his first week at Kindergarten.

Are you insane woman?

But that being said...I have always love the heart in hand symbol.

I knew this about you and I even have a few pieces that I had before I knew you. I actually went into the Heart N Hand store here in Mammoth yesterday but they didn't have anything like that in the store. (bummer) I did take a picture of something for Keetha that I will post when I get home.
I am sure you can guess what it is!

I had seen the heart in hand symbol out and about a few times prior to knowing you. Now every time I see anything resembling a hand/heart I think of you. It makes me smile. :)

Marcy, the tattoo is way cooler in person!!!!

I was JUST telling my sister-in-law about your awesome tattoo and how I missed out on getting one, myself, maybe, if I weren't so gosh-darned scared of needles, or the site of my own blood, not to mention other people bleeding...um...did I mention, your tattoo looks good?
