Quick! I Need Help! Especially from all you teachers out there....

What would you get for a beloved teacher that is retiring? This is the woman that both of my boys had for 2nd grade. She is the teacher that I credit for my boys "getting" it. I'm willing to spend a decent amount of money. Here's what I know: she doesn't cook, she's not into technology, she's not married, she has one grandchild, she's quite healthy and vibrant, she loves music (plays the harp, piano, accordion, etc.,)

Any and all suggestions welcomed in the comments!

Maybe tickets to a symphony? Book stores are good especially since she is retiring, she wont spend it on her children (classroom) An ipod?? Since she loves music and then a gift cert for music???

Jess - you beat me to the punch! I was just about to say tickets to the orchestra/symphony along with a CD of some of their recordings.

That is a good idea. For me I thought a gift card to Disneyland so she can take her grandchild!

Massage, pedicure and LOTS of chocolate!

Actually, I think teachers love "memory" books of their years in teaching. Your boys should create a small book of pictures of when they were in her class, and add those "favorite" things they loved to do with her.

A memory box is good. Also a basket with bubble bath supplies, creams, shower gel & a gift card so she can get either books or music at a book store.

I totally was thinking something like a gift certificate to "Dinners Ready"...do you have those there?

I can tell you that I personally hate to cook, and I loved having meals in a snap, already in the freezer...just thaw and cook. Spices etal all are pre measured for you as well. No mess, no fuss...great meal.
