So Carmen Doesn't Have to Look at the Snake

Oh Hi!

Yes, I know it's been 2 weeks since I posted last. And, Yes, I know that I said I'd post every day in June. I've never NOT completed a NaBloPoMo before. Then again, I've never attempted to do it any other time than November. I can blame lots of things but the short of it is that I totally forgot on the first Saturday and every day since it got easier and easier to say "Oh well. I've already blown it. What's one more day?"

I've written dozens of posts in my head but when I've opened my dashboard they disappear. So you get this. Yet another "Sorry, blah, blah, blah, this is where I've been" post.

Last week: a short trip with the kids to Mammoth. Karen has a condo there and it was great to just veg out for a couple of days. The weather was beautiful. I even took a 2 1/2 hour nap one day. I had planned on posting from there but since internet was spotty at best so I didn't even attempt to post. Actually, I didn't even open the laptop. At.All.

My summer just exploded with things to take care of. Finishing the bathroom, (I know you're waiting on a photo update. I'll get there.), harvesting the vegetables, trimming the out-of-control roses, chauffeuring the children, entertaining the children, paying the bills, taking care of football stuff. I'm feeling so so so overwhelmed.

I took a lot of pictures yesterday so I'm going to upload them and you'll start seeing them tomorrow.

And no, Carmen, there will be no snake pictures. Happy now?

I'll have to look into this snake business. Yes bathroom photos. Now about these over run roses. when do you trim them, how much? I have a few roses bushes here but no clue how to look after them.

When bloggers I follow post snakes or spiders I just can't look! Sorry your so overwhelmed, summer should be your time to relax so it's good that you did get away to Mammoth.

Bet the snake was even creepier IRL [shiver] yeah, I'm right there with you on the finishing home projects, gardening, chauffeuring/entertaining children, etc... thing. Can't wait to see the photos :)
