Music fun for a Saturday

My friend Devra tagged me for this on Facebook. I honestly miss the days of being excited when you would get tagged for a meme on a blog because it meant that you would end up meeting a whole bunch of new people and reading some fun blogs. So, I'm going to do it here and hopefully those of you that I tag will pass it on, just like in the good ol' days of blogging.

The rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen vocalists that will always stick with you. List the first fifteen you can recall in no more than fifteen minutes. And in no particular order. Tag fifteen friends, and me, because I'm interested in seeing what singers my friends choose...

  1. Elton John
  2. Elvis Presley
  3. Aimee Mann
  4. Jimmy Buffett
  5. Belinda Carlisle
  6. Emmylou Harris
  7. Jim Croce
  8. Patsy Cline
  9. Daruis Rucker
  10. Toby Keith
  11. Garth Brooks
  12. Trisha Yearwood
  13. Reba Mcentyre
  14. Natalie Merchant
  15. Jon Secada.... and a bonus artist that you probably don't know,
  16. Eddi Reader. Look it up.
Now for my tags...
  1. Devra
  2. Carmen
  3. Debby
  4. Stephanie
  5. Liz
  6. Jenn
  7. Elizabeth
  8. Melisa
  9. Momo Fali
  10. Margaret
  11. Mary
  12. Mary
  13. Sarah
  14. Sue
  15. Karen

Oh, this IS fun, count me in :) I'll come back and read your list after I'm done with mine. Curious to see how many matches we get...or not...heh.

I'm not only going to play, but I'm not going to read your list until I do mine so I won't be influenced (though I did read #1).

I can't find my blog said...

Karen did it!

Thank you. I still hope to do this when I have time. Wow, I remember seeing Jim Croce in a small dinner theatre in Chicago. He opened for Woody Allen!
