But it's actually not all that funny. A pattern is starting to emerge that I don't like very much, and it's not because I want to be in control. Remember that discussion we had back in January about video games? Well, I lost that one. Then HD got the boys XBOX Live, against my better judgement.
The latest is airsoft guns. HB#1 has been bugging us about getting them "because all his friends have them, Mom." Our standard answer lately is that "We're still discussing it. We'll let you know."
So, this afternoon #1 had a friend over and asked if his friend could bring some airsoft guns to play with over here. I reluctantly said ok to that. The kids didn't have any bullets, (ammo? pellets? What do you call them?), so HD took them to the store to get some.
You get 3 guesses on what they came home with, and the first two don't count.
So tell me. Who wins in your house?
I didn't know you lost on the video game discussion. He was wrong! I know I am losing at my house right now.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the video game discussion, however, our boys do love airsoft.
ReplyDeleteI do have a few rules that are a must: 1) everyone MUST be geared up with eye protection at all times, 2) no head shots or close quarter shots and, 3) absolutely, NO (and I mean NO) whining when they get shot. I figure if they are stupid enough to play the game then they can handle the pain it inflicts!
I'll give you 3 guesses & the first two don't count. :)
ReplyDeleteLol. Keaton wants to know what kind? It is def a boy thing Keaton worked hard bt selling lemonade, fresh eggs, etc to blow all his money on an airsoft gun.
ReplyDeleteAlso I agree with rocks, and love the no whining part lol. We also have a 20 ft limit, they can't shot closer than that but can verbally shoot someone closer than that. Also they r not allowed to point guns at animals and had to take a gun class from my dad who taught them safety.
