By the time the kids finish up with 6th grade, they are ready to move on, however, we as the parents seem to struggle.<br /><br />I didn't like having to give him the talk of "you will see and hear things that you haven't seen or heard of before" when you are at middle school. Going from elementary to middle school IS a big adjustment; going from innocent to "it's put completely put out there for all to see".<br /><br />The first day of 7th grade was the hardest for me. I kept thinking (and looking at my watch) wondering if C had made it to his classes, etc.. Once he got home from school, I remember asking him how things went and his reply was, "I only got lost twice" with a big cheesy grin on his face.
