Are You Warm?

Have you harvested? Have you eaten? Are you warm?

5 Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it."

7 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways." (Haggai 1:5-7)

Have you a friend? Are you warm?

10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiasties 4:10-12)

Is your faith accompanied by action? Are you warm?
15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:15-17)
Are you warm?

This post is an entry for the December Write-Away contest over at Scribbit. The participants and winners should be posted next week. I'm not really sure if this post qualifies, but here's to my first try! Good luck to all!

Good job! - I try to be warm...one day at a time. :)

Puts a whole new meaning to me whining about being cold.

I like the "Is your faith accompanied by action?"

Great point.
