Spring Break=Fail

Yep. My kids were on Spring Break this week and we did nothing. Zero. Nada.

Oh I had big mental plans of preping my bathroom to paint, cleaning out a few closets, scrubbing all of the bathrooms, playdates for the kids....

Here's what was accomplished:

  • cleaned one bathroom
  • one kid came to play
  • wrote and published 4 blog posts
  • got my reader down to under 40 posts
  • cleaned up the family room 5 times
  • only cooked dinner 3 times
  • took one nap-at 5 pm on Thursday
  • cleaned off 1/2 of my counter
  • vacuumed the family room, dining room, living room and guest room
  • cleaned out the fridge eliminating the science experiments, but left the dirty shelves for another day
I hope you had a more productive week than I did, because, honestly? The kids are ready to go back to school from the boredom, and I'm not even ready for that. I seriously am not even ready to feed my family this week- read, baseball, baseball, baseball, and some more baseball, just for good measure.

Happy Spring everyone! From the land of procrastination and sleep,

Headless Mom

Hey- - - I've got you beat and I don't even have kids here distracting me. I did two (2) loads of laundry and that my dear friend is all the "work" I accomplished on my ENTIRE break.

I did blog, I did read, I did sleep, I did eat, and I did watch NCAA bb games.

Lol. I think we have all had those weeks. You start off with such big plans and then some how... not so much happens!

I'm right there with you. I got very little accomplished.

Hubby did the majority of the cleaning which took a big chip off my shoulder. Let me tell ya!

BabyAm and Belt Buckle go back to school tomorrow, but Sailor Girl and the Dark Knight are here...hopefully we will get out, and not just VEG.

Ahhh.....sounds like a lovely Spring Break to me! Sometimes those do nothing weeks are the ones we get to enjoy our families the most. Sometimes they are the spring break that our heads need. I can't wait for our Spring Break....it's still a week away!

My kids had spring break and I left town for New Orleans. How's THAT for a great spring break? (for me at least) the kids went with their dad to the in-laws house. I drank hand grenades and ate Beingets on bourbon street...ahhh bliss!
