My Favorite Things

...Well, for today anyway. Sometimes these things change rapidly. I'm totally copying Carmen. You can go read hers but be sure to come back! Validation is my friend.

  • Dawn dishwashing soap. Why, oh why do I ever try the cheaper stuff? This is one product that is worth it's brand ranking...and then some.

  • The private group feature on Facebook. Although it may just kill commenting on blogs for good.
  • Red, red wine.
  • Enough food in the fridge and freezer to have dinners for several days with nary a trip to the grocery store.
  • New recipes that are a hit.
  • Freshly washed sheets and a well-made bed.
  • A single baseball team commitment for our family. Yes, both boys are on the same team! #SchedulingWin

  • Southern Californa is in for another bout of winter next week. I know you're over winter but I'll take it when I can get it.
  • Fresh pink and yellow tulips.
  • The purple streaks in my hair.
  • Less dirty laundry than clean, folded, ready-to-be-put-away laundry.
  • Being able to give the testosterone-filled members of my family a trip to see Monster Jam, courtesy of being a blogger. thankyouverymuch. I get a tweet-up with another IEF blogger out of the deal, so it's all good. Oh, and maybe a really good beer, too.
There you go, a few of my favorite things. What are your favorite things this week? Tell me here, or make your own list and let me know so I don't miss it! (Hey Carmen! I think you just started a meme.)

Oh, freshly washed sheets and a well-made bed! How I love thee.

My husband cannot fathom my deep love of clean sheets. Or why, if the laundry lasts into the evening, I have the deep, unshakable compulsion to make the bed nicely before crawling into it.

I agree, fresh sheets are the best.
Have fun at the Monster Jam!

Someone else bringing me a hot cup of strong, black coffee, NOT having to cook dinner, early morning walk with the dog and NO ONE ELSE, reading a great book, Klondike bars, lemon-lime seltzer water, a really, really cold beer, and having the freedom to home school my kids.

These are great! Rejoicing with you about the both kids on the same team coup! Wooohoooo!

I love a bed that someone else has made. And chicken someone else has cooked.
