Your Weekend Reading Assignment

I highly recommend the following article:

Make sure you have a refreshing beverage and snack of choice. It is a long one. However, it really explains a lot about nuclear power, and what is and is not being done.

(Sam the Butcher posted this first. Thanks, Bro!)

And, if you're so inclined, leave me (or STB) a comment on your thoughts after you've read it.

This was almost too much for me to read...my grandparents and aunt lived in PA when the Three Mile Island incident took place. My grandfather died of bone cancer and my aunt has had breast cancer TWICE in 20 years...if you ask them it is not a coincidence. Thanks for sharing the article.

@kelly - It's interesting, though, that in the article he outlines the tradeoffs we're comfortable with - The slow deaths of coal extraction and pollution, or the quick (and then lingering) fry of the nuke plant.

I'll throw in with nuclear power, as long as we have vigilant oversight.

If you have a few minutes, I would love your input on my blog in regards to the ten struggles that Christian women face. Thank you!

For so many people and so many systems to fail so spectacularly all at once, without any measurable effect on public health, may be the last, best proof that a system is working.
Sounds like if the proper safeguards are kept in place "Nuclear energy " is the way to go---
