Because I'm All About the Meme this Week

Carmen took this from Kate and I'm stealing from her. (Read Carmen's answers here.) See? All about the meme. Going to do it? Let me know because since it's a million degrees outside I'm not going out unless I am forced to. 100+ temps and hot flashes do.not.mix.

What do you eat for breakfast? Coffee, primarily. Then cereal, or oatmeal, or yogurt with granola. I've been on an egg sandwich on an english muffin kick lately.

What's your favorite television show? Currently: Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Parenthood, and, as always, American Idol.

What did you want to be when you grew up when you were in kindergarten? A stewardess (that's what they called it back then. Yes, I know it's flight attendant now,) and/or a teacher. I actually applied with an airline twice but didn't get hired.


What food would you never eat? There isn't much that I won't eat, or at least try, of regular American foods. Mushrooms come to mind, and weird meats. The show "Bizarre Foods" on Travel Channel does give me the heebiejeebies, though so it seems that I'm not all that adventurous. I don't eat Thai curry or sushi either.

When was the last time you got a speeding ticket? I don't remember, actually. College? I do remember getting pulled over a couple of times just after college but I don't think I got a ticket.

How many pairs of shoes do you own? Like Carmen I'm going to guess... maybe 25-30? Now I'll go count... Ouch. 38. There are at least a half dozen that I could get rid of. It's funny though because i'd say about half of them are hand-me-downs from my mom, so it's not like I have a shoe purchasing problem.

What are your favorite blogs? Way too many to list here, but if you read here, you probably already know. I do read PostSecret every week.

What's your guilty pleasure? My glass (or two!) of wine (almost) every night.

How many hours a night do you sleep? Usually 7, but my body really wants 8 or 9.

Have you ever had a nickname that you hated? No. The one that has always stuck was/is "Kenj". When we first moved to Colorado we had a neighbor kid that went on a word shortening kick and that's what he shortened my name to. I don't mind it, and actually use it in correspondence with family.


What are you afraid of? Losing my husband before the kids are grown, or one of the kids. Falling. Varmints getting into my garage/house. Read: rats, bats, etc. Snakes. *shudder*
