Snippets

  • I'm outraged at the official announcement about Nikki Minaj being on Idol. She is disgusting, foul, and no one should think of her as an idol. Especially not the poor kids that will be subjected to her on the show. I was actually excited that Randy is going to be a mentor this year. Buh Bye Idol ratings. I haven't heard of one person that wants her on the show. Not one.
  • I hate football nights because I go for 3 or 4 days without having a meaningful conversation with my husband.
  • I'm making a weekly schedule for myself. I'll try it for a couple of weeks and let you know how it goes, and might even share it with you. I've got to try something, right?
  • Don't forget to enter my giveaway for the What to Expect books! Share it with your friends, win one for a gift... just enter!
  • We've had a few, um, challenging parenting moments around here this week. I'd like to be able to do something fun, with my entire family, for once. We need a little happy and light around here.
  • Did you hear about Idol? I'm outraged. Seriously.
  • The 100+ temps can stop NOW.
  •  I need to put some fall flowers in our front flower bed but would like to have an idea of what I want before I go. Suggestions?
Anyhoo, what's going on in your neck of the woods?

Um, who is Nikki Minaj?

I always like mums in the fall. Will they grow where you live?

Challenging parenting moments are going on around here too. We could use some happy and light...rainbows and unicorns anyone? 100+ temps are starting to get very, very, old...I agree...weekends are so tiring that I look forward to the weekdays...pre-teen and teenager challenging ALL of my patience just yesterday....good read in "How to Really Love your Teen" by Dr. Ross Campbell is the only saving grace just now. Thank you for posting the snippets. Great list of things!!

Now I have to figure out who Nikki Minaj is, and what she's done to earn that assessment.

My husband "has to" do laundry and / or pet my hair (if I sit quietly near him) on football nights. In exchange, I stay nearby and listen to his football rants.

Just updated our schedules too, so I'll be figuring out where to find writing time this week too.

The boy is doing well in college, but he has his first real tests on Fri. & Mon. So we'll see how that goes.

Wishing you cooler temps and pretty flowers :)

Sorry to hear of your parenting moments. They are challenging at times. Although I have to say I have just sent my youngest to college in Chicago and I would give anything to experience the parenting moments. From afar with an empty house it is just not the same.
