I'm Back for the Diamond

Did you really think that I would stay away from Boo's Party? Come on now! I thought you knew me better than that by now.

OK. I know that many of you may be too young to remember most of Neil Diamond's music but for a few generations, his stuff is in the soundtrack of our lives. Granted some may not love the memories, but it is there none the less. I like his music in the I-don't-immediately-change-the-radio kind of way. It's mostly fun and non-threatening. Anyhoo, on to the singers- and their 2 songs.

Jason-of-the-Dreads- Yum. I think that he will win some of his fans back tonight because he did what he does best. Mostly fun and non-threatening, I liked both of his songs. VOTED, because I don't think that he should leave before others.

DC- Both songs were great, with the second being super-great. I'm not going to waste anyone's time by going over it-BEST OF THE NIGHT.

Brooke- She's not great at the low end of her register, her second song was better than the first. However, I'm just not getting her as 'finals' material. Definitely an 'At Risk' night for her.

Archie- Blech. Sticky sweet. He is the same every week- very predictable. Am I the only one, or does he sound the same every week? (And so I don't sound the same as the last few weeks, I won't say what I really want to about him. You'll just have to go digging to find it!) I know that there are Archie lovers out there, but I'm obviously not one of them.

Syesha- I really liked her this week- she was smiling and having fun. I thought that she brought a great newness to the first song, but Simon didn't agree. I think she's probably at risk tonight, too.

Well, there you have it. I really think that we could just skip the next few weeks and let DC win and not have to go through this any more. I love him and Jason but realistically, DC will win.

Bottom 2- Brooke and Syesha. Going home? My guess would be Brooke.

Thanks to those of you who come to play this AI game, I love our progressive party every week. And thanks to my other readers that gave me a couple of days off- there are stories, my friends!! See you very soon with a very special post!

Yea, I'm with you on Little Archuletta. Too much for the older than 30 crowd. But the tween texting community lights it up each week. I'm afraid we are stuck with him.

I'm on the David Cook bandwagon!!

I'm afraid it will def. be Syesha. She just doesn't have the fan base that she needs.

David Cook.
That's all I have to say.

I'll trade you Brooke & Syesha for Carly and MJ.

For me, Archie is in full-on Josh Groban territory. Totally non-threatening, smooth voice. Stuff women who aren't really music fans would like, you know what I mean? They just want to hear a good singer, they're not discerning listeners.

It better be Brooke or Syesha. We actually watched last week's elimination show last night and Alice said that she'd be fine not watching the rest of the year, Carly and MJ were her favorites.

Can't say that I blame her. I just want to see David Cook dominate the rest of the season.

That's exactly how I feel.

Ditto on Archie. Love the voice, but think he needs to grow up a bit and become his own man.

David Cook is the winner, in my eyes, regardless of the show's outcome.

Archie, yep, too young

Jason, love him, but bye,bye

Brooke, you can see her next at a posh hotel piano bar

I do love Syesha, she'll end up on
Broadway

I do miss MJ and Amanda

David Cooke will win

I'm old, but do not like Neil Diamond, so wasn't crazy about the song selection

I agree with you on Little David. I am thinking he can't do much more than the Disney sound...he's so cute, though. I see that you are still rooting for Jason - I am, too. I just really love his laid-back attitude and soothing voice. :)
