Birthday Songs

Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you! Happy.... Oh! Hi! Sorry. I got a little carried away.

This is perennially one of my favorite weeks-probably because so many of these kids were born in the '80's, which is my kind of music. Ahem. And you can usually tell what kind of artist these kids will become by what song they choose tonight and how they arrange it.

So, on to the performers. Is anyone else kinda freaking out that we're already down to 8?

Danny- Stand By Me-The arrangement was a little weird, but like the judges said, vocally he rocked it. We love Danny around here, but as we were chatting about Danny being the oldest I reminded HD that he's old enough to be his father. Ouch.

Kris- All She Wants To Do Is Dance- He's such a cutie, isn't he? We're not digging the arrangement over here. This is a bad song to begin with, and jazzy just isn't working for us. I love him, though. (Didn't I just say that I love '80's music? Sheesh, I need to make up my mind. Or they need to choose better songs.)

Lil-What's Love Got To Do With It?- What's up with these people changing these songs tonight? Nothing is working well so far tonight. I would love for Lil to have done better, but I think that she really needed to KILL it tonight and she didn't.

Anoop- True Colors- The best he's done in weeks. Seriously. And a better arrangement than anyone else who has been on the stage tonight. I really, really liked this-more than anyone else tonight so far.

Scott- (What's the name of this song? Power ballad! Gah!) He is doing really good! I like the guitar, I like that he is really true to himself every.stinkin'.week. I don't agree with the judges at all-I thought he did really great, (with the exception of a couple of bad notes,) and Scott did what Scott does.

Allison-I Can't Make You Love Me- Perfection. Seriously. The.Best.Of.The.Night. Hands down. How does a 16 year old have that bedroom sexiness in her voice? Yowsa.

Matt-Part-time Lover- (No! Please! I hate this song! Ugh!) I'm going to have to deferr to the judges on this one-I can't get past this awful song. Hmm. They liked it. Well okay then.

Adam- Mad World- Is he going to ruin this song for me? I hope not. (Oh no, he did.) Sorry folks, I'm not on board with Adam. At all. I hated it. All of it. (Sorry Steph, I just can't.) Eew, shivers, creepy.

Hey! Not one wardrobe gaff tonight. The wardrobe people must have gotten the message, huh?

Best of the night-Allison, hands down, (didn't I already say that?). Next few: Danny, Anoop, Kris.

Going home- Lil, or Scott. Although if it were up to me it would be Adam.

What say you BooMama crowd?

Really like your blog...I found it through BooMamas...so glad that I did...
Hope you will stop by my blog. I am going to have a "card box" giveaway every month. This drawing will be the last day of April.
Every comment you leave throughout the month will enter your name in the drawing. This NEW blogger was so touched by all the comments I got on the card box, that I decided to make this a monthly GIFT...
Also, if you mention my blog telling, about the monthly giveaway, you will have your name entered 10 extra times...How is that for an incentive? I was so blown away by all the responses that I wanted to email each person personally, but TIME... just has not permitted..but I did love reading all of them..
I am continuing to introduce my family members and then there will be some fun blogs coming up from Disney World in May. I am so thankful for all my new friends.

YOU MAKE ME LAUGH - Thank you!!!! :)

Seriously, it's ok that you don't like Adam...I'm not exactly sure why I do either to tell you the truth...but I can't help it.

I think we can still be friends. Don't you?

LOL We just won't be able to listen to IDOL music on a long car trip!

Love ya honey!

My dear wonderful Headless.....how can you not love Adam? He impresses me to no end! Personally, I don't think that AI has produced a talent as strong as this EVER! It is really hard to make a popular song uniquely yours and Adam does that every time....not to mention that his vocal control is out.of.this.world!

Adam is my all time fave...I know he doesn't look mainstream but he has a lovely demeanor and more talent than I have seen anywhere in a long, long time.

Steph and I will share iPod ear buds in the back seat ;)

Adam just isn't for everyone, I get that. How can you deny the range and ability that boy has though? Awesomeness!

Then again, I'm a Cook fan so what do I know? :)
