This is a photo of me and my father, circa 1971. Of all of the pictures of the two of us, I think that this is my all time favorite. I really do come by it honestly. Heh.

Today, of all days, is perfect for celebrating my dad. Today he celebrated his 71st birthday!

I wish I could have been there to share in this day. We have much to celebrate... his most recent scan showed that the cancer 'spots' that the doctors have been watching had reduced by 50% and will have 2 more chemo treatments. Then the doctors will do another scan. He sounds great and the best news of all is that he will be attending the wedding in a few weeks!
