I can't believe that I haven't posted a picture of the boys yet.
Well, Here you go. The boys on Easter, hunting for eggs in our backyard.
Well, can you figure out which one is which? Remember, HB1 is 8, and HB2 is 6. (Those of you that know can't play, that wouldn't be fair!) I wish I had something cool to give away but I'll just have to link to you if you have a blog or website if you can guess the correct boy. It's a 50/50 chance, so what are you waiting for?
We had a relaxing Easter Sunday. We went to church, the boys sang with the other kids for the congregation (cute!), came home and did a bunch of nothing. Although Headless Dad would disagree-he is getting the garden ready. When we plant and there is something to show besides dirt I'll post a pic. He does an amazing job with it, and we have the greatest veggies all summer.
Dinner was spent with HD's brother and my new sister-in-law. It was great to finally catch up after their honeymoon. We looked at pictures and heard stories of their cruise. (I can't wait for our own!!) BIL cooked lamb and I did oven-roasted red potatoes (with garlic and rosemary), green beans, artichokes, and french bread. All was quite yummy! (Except for the artichokes. I wouldn't know if they were yummy. I don't eat them. But I will cook them for everyone else. I'm a sacrificing mom, after all.)
Well, the kids are on spring break this week. I really hope I don't flake out and do nothing-I really should take them to do a few fun things, don't you think? But besides sleep, I really want to get my house clean while I don't have things like baseball practice in my way. Those pesky kids, always ruining my model-perfect home.*cough* I'll keep you all posted on how entertaining I am this week.
I can see that you are waiting on the edge of your seat.

I have a saying..."Excuse my house, we live in it!"
Have a great break! Alice overachieved with our kids last week - There were two Challenge shoots that they went to, then they took a trip to the museum of natural history, then Friday they all cleaned. All while having the furnace be out on Sunday and Monday and part of Tuesday.
We had a nice time with M&D yesterday, down for Easter dinner with Alice's family. Got to watch a little basketball. Do you watch during this time of year? Or do you just not care about basketball?
I finally got to talk to Alice last week; I'm totally jealous of the fun they had! Although she didn't mention the furnace. :-(
This is the only time of year that I watch any basketball. I did my bracket and have done ok so far, considering I knew almost nothing about the teams that got in. There have been some great games-nail biters to the end!
I asked dad if you were a bracket-maker as we watched your Vols squeak it out vs. Butler.
I'm doing pretty well - I had picked UCONN, Pittsburgh & Duke, and Georgetown, but other than that I'm spot-on. Rough first round, but it's smoothed itself out with some pretty good games. :)
My best pick so far has been Villanova.
My best pick so far has been Villanova.
Me, too, but I'm a fan going back to '85 when they beat Georgetown. And speaking of the '85 Georgetown team, Patrick Ewing's son is playing on the current GT team! Blew my mind a bit... :)
How in the heck can you remember what happened in '85? I can't even remember what happened last year!!!
Hi guys!!! Nice picture of the headless boys!!
How in the heck can you remember what happened in '85?
That's when I was in the middle of my basketball career. I also was writing about it in my journal as I was writing about other things. 'Nova was up by 1 at the half and won by 2. They were *huge* underdogs to that Hoyas team with Patrick Ewing.
Keetha-you didn't leave a guess...
STB- you're a cheater!
STB- you're a cheater!
Ooookay...?
Cheater making me think you remembered that stuff when you must've read it recently.
JK, ya know!
Oh, I haven't read it recently, but I do remember watching it on the little TV on the kitchen counter and being really excited that the underdog won!
I was in McDonalds at the time of my last comment, and was so AMAZED at being able to be online away from home that I FORGOT to leave a guess.
I'm guessing that the taller boy is the younger one, HB-2, - - - just because you reminded us that there is a couple years difference in their ages.
You two siblings are cracking me up BIG TIME having that conversation on here. I LOVE it - - -kinda like listening in.
Oh, BTW - - - since I am already linked to your blog, if I was WRONG with my guess, does that mean you'll unlink me????? YIKES - - - maybe I should have kept my BIG mouth shut.
