I'm returning to my Click for Clutter posts, (a spin on Cluttercast by Darryle.) I've got so much stuff that I KNOW you want as a gift for someone, or as a treat for yourself!
One of the things I loved as a girl was dolls. Not just any dolls-they had to be collectible, unique. I always wanted a daughter to share that love with me, so in 1997 when we got married I tried to introduce Headless Girl to dolls.
Uh, she was not impressed, to say the least.
Today's offering is a Madame Alexander doll, "Spain", from 1997. She has never been removed from the box and has all of her original packaging. If you would like to have her or know someone that would give her a happy home please leave me a comment. Comments will stay open for one week and then I will choose a winner and ship her to you-Just in time for Christmas!

The only post you'll ever see me write about Twilight
I haven't read the books. I haven't seen the movie. I'm not-so-much a fan of the vampire genre. But I jumped on the chance to check this out because I thought that YOU, my readers, might want to know about this book.
Brian Leaf is an educator that has written many SAT and ACT study guides. I think that this one must surely be the coolest. defining Twilight is a vocabulary workbook for those studying for the SAT, ACT, GED, and SSAT tests. Can there be anything better for an Edward-loving teen that really should be studying but won't put down the latest? Here's how it works: On the first page of each chapter it gives you vocabulary words and corresponding page numbers. You then go to that page and read the text and try to guess the meaning. The rest of the chapter gives you the meaning as well as sample synonyms, analogies, and sentence completion questions, then at the end of each group of chapters there are sample quizzes. I'm guessing that my Headless Girl might have actually studied for these tests had this been available when she was taking them. My HB#1 flipped through this and thought it was really cool too-he's great at vocabulary and even at 9 thought that the concept sounded fun. (I might be tempted to keep my sample if he was anywhere old enough to read Twilight, but he's not.)
Here's what all of this means for you: Since I won't be needing a SAT workbook in the near future, I'll be offering this copy to my readers, similar to my other 'click for clutter' posts. Do you have a daughter or niece that you think would like to have this book? Let me know in the comments. If I get any more than 1 comment I'll use random.org to choose who I will pass this on to. My copy only has a few fingerprints on it, so it's practically new.
Thanks, Brian, for sending this to me to review! Brian is also offering some free SAT/ACT help through this link as well where you can sample what he does.
(Disclosures: I was given this book to review. It's value is under $10, new. I am sending it to a reader at my own expense. I was not paid to write my opinion. The above Amazon link is to my Amazon Associates page and if you order this book, or anything else, from that link I will get a few pennies. Which would be cool for me, but you should know that upfront.)
I have closed comments on this post so I can choose a winner. Thanks for entering!
Congratulations to Carmen, Mom to the Screaming Masses for winning this book for her daughter!

Pokemon Cards Find a New Home *Updated!
These cards are going to Canada:
Kyooty, I hope your son enjoys them! My HB#1 took a lot of time to pick just.the.right.cards to send- so cute! And I love that my kids are getting into the Cluttercasting spirit.
SJ's son already got his package of Pokemon cards. Go check out his reaction in pictures. So dang adorable I can't stand it! Thanks, SJ, for the pics and the kind words.

Click for Clutter-3-The Pokemon Edition
A few days ago I saw this tweet from @AllTheJonesMen:
Son #1 is crushed. He left his Pokeman cards N his pants pocket & they got washed. AND DRIED. Safe 2 say they R ruined. *cue the tears*
I thought to myself, "Hey! I've got a bazillion of those cards! And my boys aren't interested anymore....Hey! Cluttercast! Whoot!"
I dm'd her to ask for the list of what was ruined and her address so I could send them off. Although I didn't find all of the ones that had been washed, I found 26 of 38, and I'm adding a few to make an even 40. (What? Didn't you know that 40 is a full, regulation deck? Come on now!)
The cool thing is that I'm also enclosing a couple of very powerful cards...look real close...they are Breloom, weighing in at 100 hp, and Empoleon at a whopping 130 hp. (For those of you that don't know, that's a lot of hp. Don't let me fool you though, that is my full Pokemon knowledge, right there.)(Impressive, I know.)Here is the book of the rest of the cards that I have. Do your kids like Pokemon? Are they begging to go to Target so they can buy more? Here's your answer! Let me know in the comments and I will send as many of you cards as I can, starting from the first on the list. If there is one specific card that you are looking for, let me know and I will see if we have it, or I can put together a set of 40 like I did for SJ's son. (If I get a lot of responses, like, more than I have cards for, we may have to rethink this, or the sets will have to be smaller. We'll see!)
Oh, by the way, go check out SJ's blog-I'll be watching for the look of surprise on her son's face when he finds these in the mail!
I'll keep this open for the remainder of the week, so please pass it on to the moms and dads that you know whose kids are dying for these things. Seriously. I need to get rid of them!

CfC-2 Winner
Here's to Keetha, the winner of the toddler learn to read books. Keetha is so sweet about sharing her darling grandchildren. I'm glad I get the chance to share these books with her.
She was also my first commenter, so there's that.
Congratulations, Keetha! I'll be looking forward to the pictures of Mackinley and Piper learning how to read with these. Be sure to post them...oh, right. You post all that stuff; I shouldn't worry!

Click for Clutter-2
When cleaning out my boy's room a few weeks ago I came across these early reader books. I purchased them from a Scholastic Book Club flyer that the kids brought home from school. They have been a great tool for getting the boys to read. They each have only a few words, with pictures for cues, with fun themes. There are 11 books (somehow we lost one of them, there should be 12,) and it includes a workbook (never used.) My son's Kindergarten teacher suggested them, and they have been well loved, but gently used.
Leave me a comment if you want these books-either for you and your little ones, or as a gift for someone special. (You must include a valid email address, and this is open to everyone-because these are small and light I will ship overseas!) The number of requests will determine the method of choosing the winner, and I will leave comments open until Friday evening. Please let your friends with small kids know-I don't want anyone to be left out!
Shout out to Darryl for starting the Click for Clutter craze!

Click for Clutter-1
If you haven't heard of Darryle's new blog yet you should hop ye right on over. (Well, after reading me, of course!) She is the author of the blog i never signed up for this, and her newest, Click for Clutter. The premise is that as she is cleaning out her clutter, she finds an interesting stash of items, tells their story, and you get to vote on whether they stay or go, to charity or to you! A couple of weeks ago she had this darling set of elephant linens-I said they should come to live here at the Headless household...and apparently she agreed! They arrived today and I love them. The green is beautiful-it is just the shade that I have all over my house. Crazy, huh?
I really love the idea of giving my good used stuff to someone out there who can really use and/or appreciate it. So, from time to time I will be offering things here to you, my bloggy peeps. I promise that they are offered in good faith, and I won't offer anything that I really think is trash. K? (I asked Darryle for permission to use this idea here.)
For my inaugural click for clutter post I am just telling you what I've done. Cheating? Maybe, but I couldn't resist passing this along to my pal Amy at doubleh-vay for her darling boys, Finnean and Blaise. My boys hardly used it-ever!- and since they can be pricey I'd rather pass them along to them than donate them, or collect $2.50 for them in a garage sale sometime in 2011 after collecting dust in my garage for the next two years. So, here you go, Amy! Love you to bunches-I hope your little men love it.
Next time you'll get to comment on the item/items, I'll pick a winner (method to be determined depending on the number of commenters), and I'll send the stuff to your house!
